On February 12, 2022, Chelan Douglas Health District (“CDHD”), discovered that between July 2, 2021 and July 4, 2021 an unauthorized third party accessed their network and removed private personally identifiable information of affected residents.
The Chelan Douglas Health District is a state government agency which handles Vital Statistics and Services including the issuance of Birth and Death Certificates, promoting health, and working to prevent disease and injury in Chelan and Douglas Counties. What Information is Involved?
According to CDHD, the following information was exposed:
- Social Security Numbers
- Names
- Dates of birth
- Dates of death
- Driver’s license numbers
- Financial account information
- Medical information
- Health insurance policy information
